Week 4 | Sep 19 to 24

Grade 7 Math:  This week, we will have an in-class assignment on the addition and subtraction of decimals. We will also look at the applications of the addition and subtractions of decimals. In the later part of the week, we will be collecting some data for our School Development Plan. Grade 7 Science:  This week we will continue uncovering topics in Interactions and Ecosystems. Specifically, we will explain how living things meet their basic needs. Closer to the end of the week, we will look at what a scientist look like. Grade 9 Math:  This week, we will finish up our discussion of comparing and ordering rational numbers. Closer to the end of the week, we will collect some data for our School Development Plan.

Week 3 | Sep 12 - 17

Grade 7 Math: This week, we will uncover topics in Addition and Subtraction of Decimals. Specifically, we will: Use estimation to check if solutions are reasonable. Use front-end estimation to place the decimal point in a sum or difference. Solve problems using addition and subtraction of two or more decimal numbers.    Grade 7 Science: This week we will start uncovering topics in Interactions and Ecosystems. Specifically, we will: Describe what an ecosystem is. Identify biotic and abiotic factors. Categorize organisms in an ecosystem. Explain how living things meet their basic needs. Grade 9 Math: This week, we will uncover topics in Rational Numbers. Specifically, we will: Compare and order rational numbers. Identify a rational number between two given rational numbers.
